Imran learning the trick of the trade

Imran Khan seems to be learning the tricks of the trade from his mamujaan Aamir Khan slowly but surely.

He has tweeted saying that he is quitting the micro-blogging site as he has had his share of fun and the medium is not right for him.

So will he be back on Twitter Break ke Baad? This also happens to be the name of his next flick with Deepika Padukone. Promotion ke liye kuch bhi karega!

Imran's sign off Twitter

After months of being on Twitter, Imran Khan now feels it isn't a right platform for him.

"I signed up on Twitter because I saw it as a way to interact on a personal level with my audience. I love interacting with fans and I've always looked for ways to do that - whether it's through online chats or live events, but I have started to feel that this is not the best medium for me to do so," said Imran.

The actor was quite regular with his tweets before the release of his film 'I Hate Luv Storys'. But he now wants to move away.

"I don't want to give the impression that I'm upset or angry about anything… far from it. As I said, I have truly enjoyed having the chance to reach out to so many people and I truly appreciate all the love and support I've received. What it boils down to, I think, is that I just don't feel twitter is right for me. Thank you all for the good times. It's been a lot of fun," he concluded.

Imran Khan wants you... to adopt!

Does a PETA ad urging people to give stray dogs a home, instead of buying pedigree pets

Imran Khan recently shot for an ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) urging people to adopt stray dogs in stead of buying pedigree pets.

The actor, who owns two pooches Kajri and Tony, was approached by PETA to do the ad. He readily agreed and even shot with his adopted dog, Tony.

A source close to Imran reveals how Tony became a part of his family, "During the release of Jaane Tu... Yaa Jaane Na, Imran's dog Kajri had gone for a walk and came back with another dog who followed her home. The Khans soon discovered that it was actually abandoned by the owners. So Imran decided to adopt him."

Friends of the actor add that he actually tries and urges them to adopt a pet rather than buying a pedigree.
Khan misses his pets the most when he's shooting abroad. About doing the ad, Imran says, "It's what I believe and have been actually practising. Tony walked into our home just after the release of Jaane Tu and has been with us since."

Imran Khan's Twitter bio

Imran Khan's Twitter bio says: actor, cracker of jokes no one gets. We get it, Imran. We love the boy's sense of humour.

Imran Khan loves Ayan Mukherji

There is a newfound bonding happening between Imran Khan and Wake up Sid director Ayan Mukherji. Recently, the IHLS lad was heard telling his friends how much he loved Wake up Sid and how he feels that Ayan is one of the brightest directors in B-Town. The actor has already worked with one Dharma Productions' blue-eyed boy. Is he now wooing the other? No harm we say.

Katrina Kaif injured

Imran's gun injures Katrina's nose while shooting a scene for YRF's next

On Tuesday night, Katrina Kaif suffered an injury on the sets of Yash Raj Film's untitled project with Imran Khan. The film is being shot at Pataudi Palace in Haryana.

The actress was hurt during filming and ended up with a bloody nose, courtesy an error of judgment on her co-star's part. Strangely, she was hurt in the same spot where she'd been previously injured during the shoot of Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani when Ranbir accidentally landed a blow on her face.

A source from the sets reveals what happened. "They were shooting a funny scene in which Imran is holding a gun in his hand and Katrina is by his side. He had to move around and pull Kat toward him with the other hand. But while shooting, he accidentally smashed the barrel of his gun on Katrina's nose. It happened in a split second and her nose started bleeding."

The source adds, "Everyone panicked because there was blood oozing from her nose. The shooting stopped and she was escorted to the vanity van. A doctor was called on the set and she was administered first aid. After a while the bleeding stopped, but she was still in pain."

Kat confirms, "Yes, I got hit in the same place as I did during Ajab. I am pretty bruised but the staff feels it's good luck for the film. But it was a funny scene so I think it was worth it."

No negatives roles for me says Imran Khan

Imran Khan has said no to Dibakar Banerjee's next because the director offered him a negative role. After the dismal performance of Luck and Kidnap, Imran doesn't want to do any negative roles.

Not at the moment anyway. The success of I Hate Luv Storys has given him the confidence to take on more romantic comedies and loverboy roles. Abhay Deol is now doing the part.
